14 days | Hà Nội to Nha Trang

There are some journeys you remember for the roads, and others for the people and places you meet along the way. Our Top Gear Super Tour gives you both. Over 14 days we ride from the streets of Hà Nội into the mountains, follow quieter back roads through the heart of Vietnam, cross the historic central region, and finish with a sweeping descent to the coast at Nha Trang.

This is our take on the famous Top Gear Vietnam journey in reverse. Expect limestone peaks, rural villages, the old Ho Chi Minh Trail, the magnificent Hải Vân Pass and the changing scenery of the Central Highlands. We make time to get off the bikes too: there are full days in Phong Nha and Hội An to explore properly. It's a big ride, with the freedom and camaraderie that make a motorcycle journey special.

Before the tour | Arrive in Hà Nội
We meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. The evening is yours to settle in, wander the
Old Quarter and get ready for the road ahead. Your pre-tour hotel stay is included.

Day 1 | Hà Nội city ride and welcome dinner

After breakfast we meet the crew, run through the rider briefing and get everyone acquainted with their bikes. Then we head out for an easy half-day ride through Hà Nội and its surrounding neighbourhoods. It's a chance to find your rhythm in Vietnam's traffic before we leave the capital behind. Back at the hotel, we finish the day around the table with our welcome dinner.

Day 2 | Hà Nội to Mai Châu

The city slowly gives way to rice fields, small towns and the first winding country roads. As we ride
west, the hills grow around us and the pace of life changes. By late afternoon we're rolling into the
beautiful Mai Châu valley, where the mountain views make it easy to forget how far we've come from Hà Nội in a single day.

Day 3 | Mai Châu to Ngọc Lặc

This is the sort of riding we love: quiet roads, mountain villages and farmland laid out across the
valleys. We travel deeper into regional Vietnam, with plenty of chances to stop, take in the view and
meet people along the way. Tonight we stay in Ngọc Lặc.

Day 4 | Ngọc Lặc to Thái Hòa

We keep working our way south through limestone country and farming communities, drawing closer
to the historic Ho Chi Minh Trail. The roads and scenery keep changing as we pass through a part of Vietnam that most visitors never see. We finish in Thái Hòa, ready for the ride into Phong Nha
tomorrow.

Day 5 | Thái Hòa to Phong Nha

There is a real sense of journey today as we continue south through rural countryside and dramatic karst landscapes. The ride brings us toward Phong Nha, a place famous for its caves and forested limestone mountains. After a good day on the bikes, we settle in for two nights and look forward to exploring the region.

Day 6 | Phong Nha caves and rest day

The bikes get a rest while we head into the caves. We explore Phong Nha by boat and visit Paradise
Cave, with its enormous chambers and extraordinary rock formations. There's time to slow down and
enjoy this remarkable part of Vietnam before the road calls again.

Day 7 | Phong Nha to Khe Sanh

We're back on the bikes and heading along remote backcountry roads into a region shaped by Vietnam's wartime history. Khe Sanh is our destination, and there is time to visit the former combat base and museum. It's a day that stays with you for the riding and for the stories behind the places we pass.

Day 8 | Khe Sanh to Huế

The mountains begin to give way as we ride toward the coast and into Huế, Vietnam's former
Imperial capital. After days on quieter rural roads, the city's history, riverside setting and excellent
food offer a welcome change of pace. The evening is yours to explore.

Day 9 | Huế to Hội An via the Hải Vân Pass

The mountains begin to give way as we ride toward the coast and into Huế, Vietnam's former Imperial capital. After days on quieter rural roads, the city's history, riverside setting and excellent food offer a welcome change of pace. The evening is yours to explore.

Day 10 | Hội An rest day

There's no need to rush today. Wander the Old Town, browse its shops and markets, visit the beach,
take a cooking class or simply enjoy a long lunch by the river. Everyone finds their own way to spend
a day in Hội An, and that's part of the pleasure.

Day 11 | Hội An to Kon Tum

Epic mountain peaks meeting the endless ocean—where adventure feels infinite

We leave the coast and point the bikes inland. The scenery changes again as the road takes us into the Central Highlands, through forested valleys, plantations and rural villages. By the time we reach
Kon Tum, we've traded the sea air for the cooler feel of the highlands.

Day 12 | Kon Tum to Lắk Lake

The highland riding continues past small settlements and working farmland. There's plenty to see
from the saddle, but the best moments often come when we pull over and take a little time in a
village or roadside café. Our overnight stop is Lắk Lake, known for its peaceful setting and traditional
stilt-house communities.

Day 13 | Lắk Lake to Đà Lạt

We climb toward Đà Lạt, leaving the lower farmland behind for pine forests, mountain air and more winding roads. The city has its own character, with lakes, waterfalls and old architecture tucked among the hills. It makes a fine place to spend our last night before the final ride to the coast.

Day 14 | Đà Lạt to Nha Trang

One more great day on the bikes. We wind down from the cool highlands through a series of
mountain bends, watching the landscape open up as we approach Nha Trang and the sea. Tonight we share a final dinner with the riders and crew, and raise a glass to 14 days of roads, stories and good company across Vietnam.
