A great motorcycle tour is about much more than the roads you ride. The food you share and the
places you stay become a big part of the journey - and in Vietnam, both are experiences in themselves.
Vietnam is famous for fresh ingredients, bold flavors and simple dishes cooked incredibly well.
From steaming bowls of noodle soup and smoky roadside barbecues to fresh seafood, local vegetables and crusty baguettes, there is always something new to enjoy.
For many of our riders, the food becomes one of the unexpected highlights of the tour. It is also one of the best ways to experience the real Vietnam: sitting around a table, sharing dishes, swapping stories from the day's ride and enjoying the warm hospitality for which the country is known.
At Vietnam Motorbike Tours, we carefully select the places where our riders eat and stay. We know the good local restaurants, the reliable family-run hotels and the hidden overnight stops that make each tour memorable for all the right reasons.
Breakfast - Start the Day Properly
Every good day's riding begins with a decent breakfast.
Depending on where we are, breakfast may be something familiar such as bacon and eggs, or a Vietnamese favourite such as a hot bowl of noodle soup. Many of our hotels offer a choice of
local and Western-style options, so riders can start the morning with something that suits them.
Breakfast is included in your VMT tour package, giving you plenty of fuel for the road ahead.
Lunch - Great Food Along the Way
Lunch is included and forms part of the day's adventure.
Some days we will stop at a local rice kitchen for freshly grilled meat, rice and vegetables. In more remote areas, we may set up one of our well-known VMT picnic lunches, with fresh Vietnamese baguettes, barbecue meats, ham, cheese, omelette, cucumber, tomatoes and plenty of fillings so everyone can build their own lunch.
It is relaxed, fresh and exactly what is needed halfway through a great day's ride.
We can also cater for special dietary requirements. Just let our booking team know in advance
and we will do our best to make suitable arrangements throughout your tour.
Dinner - Relaxed Evenings and Plenty of Choice
Dinner is generally not included unless your particular tour itinerary states otherwise. We do this deliberately, as it gives riders the freedom to choose what they feel like eating each evening.
That does not mean we leave you to work everything out alone. Our VMT guides know the best tried-and-tested restaurants at every overnight stop and will happily recommend somewhere
with a good selection of Vietnamese and Western dishes.
Everyone is welcome to join the group for dinner, choose from the menu and enjoy a relaxed evening together. Of course, if you would prefer a quiet night or want to explore on your own, the
choice is entirely yours.
We Travel and Stay in Comfort
After a full day in the saddle, few things feel better than a hot shower, a cold drink and a clean, comfortable room.
All VMT tours include accommodation for every riding day. We use a carefully selected range of quality hotels and locally owned guesthouses, chosen for their comfort, cleanliness, safety and location.
Our overnight stops are wonderfully varied. One evening might have us staying near a beautiful beach, while another finds us high in the mountains, beside a river or deep in the Central Highlands. Some of our favourite stays are hidden in remote areas along the Ho Chi Minh Trail - places most visitors would never discover on their own.
Wherever the road takes us, we maintain high standards. Our accommodation generally
includes:
