Day 1 : Vietnam
Ho Chi Minh City
VISIT Cu Chi Tunnels & War Remnants Museum

Good Morning Vietnam!

Our adventure starts today on a journey through the bustling streets of Ho Chi Minh City also known by its former name of Saigon. From
the comforts of our aircon mini bus, enjoy colourful views of this fast growing city.

Soon after we head to Cu Chi, 70km. The tunnels of Cu Chi are an immense network of 200km of connecting tunnels built from basic hand tools. The tunnels give a glimpse of the ingenuity and sacrifice that enabled a poorly equipped guerrilla army to humble a superpower. Its an extraordinary story of underground life of Vietnamese soldiers. Tunnels with trapdoors, living areas, kitchens, armory & hospitals, this underground complex is simply incredible.

He's your chance to head underground to explore. A short film provides a good insight of the history and hearing their side of the story.  Also nearby is a gun range, complete with AK47's M16 & M30. For a price you can fire these down the range.

The afternoon has us returning to Ho Chi Minh and visiting the War Remnants Museum. It contains exhibits relating to the Vietnam War "locally known as the American war " and the first Indochina War involving the French colonialists. our overnight stay is district 1 the centre of Ho Chi Minh city and close to the famed Ben Thanh Market,  plenty of great sky bars & restaurants.

Day 2 : Vietnam
Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tau

8am: Check-out from our hotel and transfer to local docks and awaiting watercraft. All-aboard! The Mekong river shuttle takes around 2 hours
south to seaside city of Vung Tau.

Throughout the American War, Vung Tau was used by the Americans, Australians, New Zealand, South Vietnamese and their allies as an R&R destination, and even the Viet! Cong had R&R here. After our hotel check-in, we enjoy lunch and pay a visit to a number of sites of interest including the World Wide Arms Museum. Enjoy our own R&R, with a sunset drink or few at the many local cafes, bars and restaurants that line the beach front.

Enjoy an evening sip at one of the many Nha Trang’s beach front bar!

Day 3 : Vietnam
Vung Tau to to Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang

Dawn service is no longer held at Long Tan. However we will continue our low key visit to the Long Tan Cross and pay our respects and lay a wreath of flowers. It is quite a moving experience

Followed by a visit to Nui Dat "dirt-hill" former Australian Military base. After which our private coach has us returning to HCMC domestic airport 40 minutes flight up the coast beautiful Nha Trang.

Famed for its stunning coastline and great year-round weather, with an abundance of fine dining, cafes and bars. Arriving at our hotel around 5pm.

6pm, time to join our welcome dinner ! 

Day 4 : Vietnam : 110km
Great Ocean Road to Vinh Hy

Early rise because it is Ride Day!

It’s well worth taking an early stroll or dip at the nearby beach. After breakfast we and check-out “8am." Our bags loaded and riding gear on, we head across town to VMT Head Quarters for our rider briefing, covering all aspects of the ride ahead. Select your steed from our trusty fleet.

VMT HQ is located on a quiet small road, perfect to take a quick spin and get familiar with your bike. Today's ride is simply awesome, heading south along the great ocean road and across to Cam Ranh Bay before reaching the spectacular Vin Hy road.

Carved in ocean front rock-face, this fine twisting road that sees almost zero traffic has the best ocean views in Vietnam.

We arrive into our resort located in Vinh Hy Bay. Time for lunch, relax by the pool, wander the lane-ways of this quaint fishing village. Late afternoon we take a boat trip passing floating fish farms. Further out, enjoy a dip or snorkel the tropical blue waters with some great coral reefs.

Day 5: 165km
Vinh Hy to Mui Ne

Good morning Vietnam.

Vinh Hy offers a spectacular sunrise . breakfast is served overlooking the bay! An early morning stroll through the village lane ways is always worth exploring.  Today we are heading further south along the coast. its a great ride with the most incredible views along this stretch of the great ocean road, masterfully built into the sides of rugged cliffs.

Before a long stretch of sand dunes that hug the road edge. The tropical blue waters of Mui Ne offer picture perfect views. Mid-afternoon has us arriving at our overnight stay - Bungalows by the beach, welcome to the beautiful seaside town of Mui Ne.

Day 6: 155km
Mui Ne to Dalat

It’s time to saddle up as we head into the mountain ranges of the Central Highlands, Dalat is a mountainous city located 1,500m above sea level on the Langbian Plateau. is known for its temperate climate. the twisty mountain road offers a great ride through lush green landscapes, roadside water falls and small rural villages.

Da Lat is famed for its flower and food growing and its French colonial architecture. Our hotel offer a great overnight stay. the night market is well worth checking out.

Day 7 : Vietnam : 180km
Dalat to Lak Lake

Onboard our trusty steeds.

We ride deeper into this incredible country, roads are shared by everything including farmers & livestock. as we move deeper through farming regions famed for its coffee plantations. we swing past a historic silk factory that's still in full operation. riding these regions gives you a great insight into the inner workings of rural Vietnam . afternoon has us riding through a number of minority tribe villages.

Overnight hotel is located on the shores of Lak Lake, surrounded by rice fields.  Did anyone mention a cold beverage.  Relax and enjoy the great views and passing Elephants. Food in these regions is super fresh and tasty...

Lak Lake is home to several minority tribes who live nearby in traditional wooden long houses.

Evening has us entertained by traditional tribal song and fire dance.

Day 8 : Vietnam : 200km
Lak Lake to Tuy Hoa

Saddle up!

Time to twist the throttle. for another great day! today's ride takes through the Dak Lak Plateau with a colorful array farm lands and rice fields for as far as the eye can see, be welcomed by smiling faces ! riding through a number of rural villages, before entering a section of the Ea So Nature reserve considered a precious "gem" in the ecosystem of evergreen tropical forests. stunning waterfalls and home to wild Buffalo, tigers, Otters. flanked by tree plantations, as we edge our way to the wind swept shores of Tuy Hoa, a coastal city with beautiful beaches and great local bars and restaurants. our hotel offers great comfort in a superb location.

Day 9: 130km
Tuy Hoa to Nha Trang

Good morning Vietnam!

Locals in Vietnam are often up before sunrise doing their morning exercises and swimming.

Our final day of riding or more great back roads south towards Nha Trang, passing a mixture of salt farms and fishing villages. crossing a very long hand built wooden bridge, every road in Vietnam has its our unique feel and tells its own story of village life.  Reaching the northern tip of Nha Trang's great ocean road with picture perfect ocean views and wide sweeping bends.

We roll into the golden mile of Nha Trang nicknamed "The gold coast of Vietnam" with its ocean front hotels and stunning beach gardens,  we enjoy a fantastic lunch at the Dam market , followed by a ride back to  VMT HQ.  we congratulate our fellow riders & say farewells to the guides & crew. Our waiting minivan has us transfer across to our final night stay. It’s a great hotel complete with pool and located in the centre of Nha Trang.

Nha Trang is blessed with everything you could ask for, from day spas, massages, and some of the best bars and restaurants in Vietnam.
